The Bancheros are moving!

P was 19 weeks old on Sunday!
He wasn't very happy about taking these pictures
Palm Sunday at church
Saturday I helped host my sweet friend Erin's baby shower in Jackson. It is getting so close to baby Emory's arrival. So exciting!
Baby Emory's hospital wreath I made
We got to see Mandy and sweet Charlotte.
Stefanie, Erin, me, and Mandy
I came home from the shower to this : ( Yes, the time has come. The Bancheros are moving to Jackson. So bittersweet. We will miss living a hop, skip and a jump away from our close friends Stef (pictured above) and Allan.
I was so excited to see this face though.
This stinker eats everything in sight, even if it is my arm.
Cheeks and eyelashes for days
 Gimme hug mama
 enjoying a little fresh air
My last day of work was Wednesday. My boss, Donna, was the best boss ever!!! I know I will never have a boss like her again. She has given me so much guidance in my practice and great advice for day to day life. So thankful for being able to work under her for 3 years. I will miss her dearly and all of my other coworkers.
We are going to miss this house so much. It was our first home. We found it when it was a frame and picked everything in it. Soooo many memories in these 3 short years here. Especially, the memories of being here with our sweet Porter.  Hattiesburg has been good to us.

Birthdays and a Birthday Suit

Happy 4 months to my nakie baby!
I left the months off after 6...driving my OCD self crazy

4 month facts:

-15.9 lbs -- 50th percentile
-25'' long -- 40th percentile
-15 3/4" head circumference -- 10th percentile (It's official. He has my head)
-Wears 3-6 month and 6 month clothes
-Sleeping 10 to 12 hours. I usually feed him between 7pm and 8pm, then down for the night. He usually wakes up around 6:30 or 7:00am. I have heard several people talk sleep regression around 4 months. I am crossing my fingers this does not happen.
-In size 1 diapers still, but I think we are about to move up to size two. He occasionally poops out of the back of diapers. We tried size twos early on, but it did not help. I am assuming it is the force.
-Is no long nursing 10 minutes, about 15 to 20 minutes on average every 3 to 4 hours
-Takes 5oz. in a pumped bottle. Our pediatrician gave us the solids talk at our 4 month check up, but told us it was perfectly fine if we wanted to wait until 6 months to start. I think we will wait. He seems satisfied for now
-Kicks, kicks and kicks some more. Those legs are always going, which means taking pictures like the one above is difficult. It was the only one I got where the blanket is semi straight
-Smiles all the time, babbles, spits bubbles, drools constantly, spitting up more these days, and of course hands are always in his mouth.
-Still takes a paci. We keep catching him with his thumb his mouth. He really just chews on it, but we are trying to stop that immediately. Obviously there is nothing wrong with him sucking his thumb, but I sucked my thumb when I was little and it was hard to stop. You can always take a paci away, but you can't detach his hand : )
-Sleeps with his arms up and palms of hands on the sides of his face. It's so cute. What's not cute is how he rubs his face all night, sticks his finger in his eye and busts a blood vessel.
-I mentioned in my last post he has been rolling front to back inconsistently during tummy time. Now he is picking his legs straight up and rolling to his side from his back. Not sure which way he is going to start rolling consistently first.
-Still loves to stand
-Gets a big kick out of looking at himself in the mirror (see below)
-Grabbing and batting at toys. Mostly tries to put them in his mouth.
-Starting to pick his head up while in a lying position like he wants to sit up.
-Loves bath time.
-Has had a few dry patches on his elbows, shoulders and knees along the way, but hasn't been anything that aveeno lotion or aquaphor hasn't been able to take care of....so far.
-Pretty much a happy baby most of the time!

Meet my Michelin man
The chunkier he looks in a picture the cuter I think it is. Eat.him.up
His poor wittle eye after he busted a blood vessel
Saturday, March 9th was Chris's 33rd birthday. He started the day off with breakfast in bed. He actually began to walk out of our bedroom right when I was bringing it to him. I told him to go back because he was ruining the surprise : )
We grabbed some lunch at Lenny's
Sweet P had a good time
Best buds relaxing
I made enchiladas for his birthday dinner. Like I have said before I am no Betty Crocker, but those enchiladas were dang good. Thank you Kristen for the recipe.

Can't have mexican food without a margarita right?
Just a little heath bar ice cream for the birthday boy. Ben and Jerry's is his fav. Gift on the left is from Porter and the Pais.

Sunday morning before church looking handsome.
Happy during tummy time. Never thought I would see the day
Couldn't choose the cutest one, obviously.
Uncle Larkin getting in some P time
Meme and Bailey
On Sunday night Nana came over to babysit while we went out for a second birthday dinner. It was a much needed time for us : ) Of course we mostly talked about that sweet babe.
Right before those mean ole 4 month shots.
Afterwards. Sweet boy ran a low grade fever all day and the next.  Broke my heart : (
First ride in the big boy stroller. He loved being able to face forward and see the world.

Family Time (warning: picture overload)

We have been pretty busy the past couple of weeks so I haven't really had a chance to blog.  I have gotten into the swing of things with work and as much as I hate leaving my sweet P three days a week, it has totally made me feel like myself again.  We went to Vicksburg to visit family a couple of weekends ago. It was Porter's first time to meet his great grandparents on my side of the family. First, we went to my Nana's -I could kick myself for forgetting to take pictures of Porter with her : ( - then to my Grandaddy's house and finished out the night celebrating my other grandmother's birthday with lots of the family. We had a great time visiting. I wish we got to see everyone more.

Grandaddy
GiGi
The Buckner family. From left to right- my cousin Susan and P, Susan's husband Paul, Uncle Jerry, Aunt Carolyn, Uncle Bill, and my grandmother Ruth
Sister Erin, Daddy, nephew Jacob,  neice Bailey, and Sister Angie
P with Pawpaw : )
Aunt Sue and Uncle Danny
P's Aunt E

Cousins-Eddie and precious little Stella
Uncle Bucky....over there

We were so sad to have to miss our sweet friends Clint and Jennifer's baby shower that night.
We can't wait to meet baby girl Walker. Can't believe she will be here March 6th!
We had a visit from Nana the next day : )

-----------------

I have been such a weirdo about Porter growing so fast since he was born. I would get super sad about it all of the time. Of course I still wish he would slow down a little, but we sure are enjoying all of his giggling, sweet smiles and talking gibberish. He makes us laugh every single day. He has been drooling constantly and his hands pretty much stay in his mouth. Cannot get enough of him. He is becoming so much more mobile. He has been pushing himself up to the end of the crib for a while now, but the other night I woke up, looked at the monitor and his head was at the opposite end of the crib from how I put him down. I wish I could have seem him in action. He has randomly rolled from stomach to back in the past during tummy time, but now he is doing it a little more. It is usually only when we place his arms in an optimal position though. Most of the time he gets mad that he's on his tummy and basically throws himself over to get out of it.

I'm just a little obsessed with this whale sweater
Best friends
Where's Porter??
